Clean 9, also called C9, is a nine day Forever programme that combines food supplements, drinks, reduced food intake and light movement. In its booklet Forever describes it as a system for changing eating habits, not as a medicine. Before deciding, it is worth knowing exactly what you get and who the programme is not meant for.
What is in the pack
According to the programme booklet, the pack contains two one litre packs of Forever Aloe Vera Gel drink, nine sachets of Forever Fiber, Forever Therm tablets, Forever Garcinia Plus softgels and a pouch of Forever Lite Ultra powder for shakes. It also comes with a day by day schedule, recipes and a list of free foods, mostly vegetables and some fruit, which can help ease hunger.
Who the programme is not for
Forever states that C9 should not be followed by pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, people with a body mass index below 25, or people with diabetes, kidney disease, epilepsy, heart disease or dementia. With a body mass index above 30 or any chronic condition, a conversation with a doctor is needed. Forever Therm contains caffeine, and a sudden increase in fibre can cause digestive changes. Do not stop any medicines you take.
Five questions before you start
- Do I have a goal that is not just a number on the scale, such as regular meals or fewer sugary drinks?
- Do I have nine calm days without travel, heavy stress or hard workouts?
- Can I buy food and prepare meals in advance?
- Have I checked my health and medicines with a doctor?
- Do I know how I will eat from day ten onwards?
Realistic expectations
You can see the C9 Forever Living Products pack as a structured start to changing habits, provided it suits your health. NCCIH notes that short, very low calorie programmes can cause quick weight loss that often returns once you go back to your usual diet. The CDC stresses that gradual changes are easier to keep. That is why the most important part of the programme is what you keep after day nine.

Common questions
How many kilos can I lose with C9?
That cannot be promised. A quick change on the scale is mostly due to eating little and often returns, while a lasting result depends on your habits after the programme.
Can I take my medicines during C9?
Do not stop medicines prescribed by your doctor. Before starting, check with your doctor whether the programme is suitable for you at all.
